resiline 320 pipe renewal liner

This rapid cure SIPP resin means that you, for the first time in the Americas, can clean, line, and reinstate a water pipe section within one working day. No other SIPP resin or Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining systems can offer this same day reinstatement service.

Resiline 320 best in class features include:

  • Lower cost and faster construction when compared to Open-Cut replacement and the installations of Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) liners.
  • Fast 1 hour lining cure and reinstatement. This, significantly reduced construction time.
  • Build Insitu from 1 to 14mm thick liners in 6 to 42in pipelines.
  • 1 to 3mm application thickness with a 90 second to 8 hour recoat window.
  • Structural enhancement for holes and gaps – AWWA Class III liners and Class IV for pressure only.
  • Improved water quality and prevention of internal pipe corrosion and tuberculation
  • Restore fire flows by improving the pipe C-factor.
  • Significantly reduced disruption to businesses and the public.
  • Lower energy costs required to move water through the pipes.
  • Lower Operational Costs by reducing the number of annual pipe breaks - especially when combined with an external metallic pipe cathodic protection plan.
  • No need to plug services prior to starting the lining process.
  • No need to measure the pipe internal diameter prior to lining.

resiline 320 - A New Class of SIPP Liner

In 2019, polymer Chemist Dr. Ian Robinson developed Resiline 320 to renew potable water pipes. Resiline 320 is a 3rd generation state-of-the-art lining material for use in the in-situ polymeric lining of potable drinking water pipelines and has NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 2022 and UK BS 6920 approvals. It also has ASA/NZS 4020 approval in Australia and New Zealand. Resiline Technical Data is available by clicking the following hyperlink.

Resiline 320 is the sole aliphatic isocyanate polyurea resin utilized for the renovation of water pipelines. Aliphatic isocyanates, free from BPA, VOC, PFOS, PFOA, and pre-fluorinated substances, are typically used in environments with exposure to the elements and/or where strict performance standards are required.

Resiline 320 sets rapidly, with CCTV ready in 15 minutes and service return in 60 minutes. It adheres well to pipes, offers high tensile strength for pressure pipes, has high wet strength, low water absorption, and can be applied to wet and moist pipes, making it ideal for renovating water pipes.

Resiline 320 is designed to be spray applied in coats ranging from 1 to 3mm. With a recoat window of 8 hours, it allows for building uniform liners insitu from 1 to 14mm thick, tailored to specific requirements—such as a 1 to 2mm AWWA Class I water quality barrier lining or an AWWA Class III or IV structural liner.

Resiline 320 liner offers:

  1. Mechanical properties like HDPE and CIPP Liners.
  2. No need to plug services and no need to measure the pipe internal diameter to properly size the liner.
  3.  15-minute cure for CCTV and a 60-minute cure for return to service allow same day return to Service with no need for expensive and disruptive temporary water bypass piping.
  4. Construct the required liner thickness (ranging from 1 to 14 mm) necessary for the efficient in-situ rehabilitation of the pipe.

Fastest Cure in the Industry

2-minute set, start CCTV inspection after 15 minutes, and reapplication after 90 seconds to 8 hours.

Return to Service in Under 12 hours

Ability to clean, line and reinstate up to 550 feet (150m) of 6 to 12in (150 to 300mm) pipe and return to service in under 12 hours or line 1300 feet (400m) of 20in (510mm) and greater pit to pit.

Create AWWA Class III liners with ring stiffness

Liner-pipe adhesion is not essential.

Can be Applied to Multiple Surface Types

Apply to Cast and Ductile Iron, Steel, Concrete, Asbestos Cement and PVC pipes.

NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 Approval

For 4 to 42in pipe with 1 (40 mils) to 14mm (551mils) thickness.

Aliphatic Poly Isocyanate

Based on the next generation Aliphatic Poly Isocyanate which is BPA and VOC free.

Application Coat Thickness

Pipes 12in diameter and less 1 to 3mm thick lining coat. Pipes greater than 12in apply 1 to 3.5mm thick coat.

Reinstatement after 60 minutes

Pipes can be reinstated after one-hour with or without the need to install temporary water by pass.
